Christmas traditions in Germany

In Germany the christmas celebration beggins in the evening of the 24th, December.
The parents and the older generation light up the candles on the christmastree in the living room.
After that the children are allowed to come in and get their presents. most familys eat traditional goose
but nower days more and more familys begin to eat racklet. After the dinner the older children go on a party.

Christmas customs and traditions in Poland

During a typical Christmas traditions include waiting for the appearance of the first stars symbolizing the Star of Bethlehem, dividing the wafer, putting hay under the tablecloth on the table, symbolizing the place of Jesus' coming into the world. In other traditions associated with Christmas is dressing the Christmas tree, singing carols, gift-giving, participation in the Midnight Mass and other rites stables.
